After a childhood spent roaming the world as a "military brat," Jade Moon came home and established herself as a journalist for the CBS affiliate in Hawaii. During her two-decades-long tenure as a reporter and anchor she won a raft of awards, including an EMMY and a Society of Professional Journalists award for Public Affairs Reporting. And then she retired from news and her worldview changed.

"It was about a year after my 'retirement.' I picked up a camera and had an epiphany, I guess you'd call it, and it hit me hard.
I realized that instead of zeroing in on the world in all its grit, ugliness and turmoil, I could focus in on everything beautiful. What's more beautiful-- and healing-- than flowers?"
